Dedication to Trevor (Murph) Murphy Vice President RBTC
The Redland Bay Tennis Club community has just lost a great competitor, doer, spruiker, comedian and mate.
Trev had one of those rare multi-faceted personalities ….. Humorous & witty, noisy & rambunctious, caring & thoughtful, intelligent & thinking, showy & lairy, competitive & tough, gentleman & sportsman.
His family shared Trev’s dedication and active life at RBTC over 15+ years – Declan as a fellow – albeit much younger!! – competitor son and Naomi & Niamh as supporting wife and daughter.
The Club could set up a permanent camp fire to hear all the yarns about Trev or Murph as known to most. These yarns will be told over the months and years ahead as his spirit will continue to burn bright.
Friendships forged with Trev at Reddy Bay extended to golf, camping, motor bikes, jet skiing … families and lives inter-connected and precious beyond just tennis.
For all of us there will be many different ways we will miss Trev Murphy. We will always be expecting him to walk around the corner armed with a can of coke & racquet bag over the shoulder, or turn up at one of our social events dressed the loudest, craziest and brightest, or to be out on the courts with his blower getting the courts ready for club champs …. The list goes on and on.
Thanks Trev for your infectious smile, your energy and all the memories we hold dear when you were our mate at Reddy Bay.
